The Post Office Grand Opening

We are excited to be able to expand the business to the Old Post Office. We wanted to create a true destination store that offers unique shopping with lots of space.

Thank you all for being here to help us celebrate the opening of The Post Office. And thank you for the kind words from Mayor Luciani, Regional Councillor Henry D’Angela, MPP Cindy Forster and Malcolm Allen.

Our small retail store in the Firehall has been supported by the community more than I could have ever imagined and we are so fortunate to have the opportunity do another restoration project in Thorold.

We are excited to be able to expand the business to the Old Post Office. We wanted to create a true destination store that offers unique shopping with lots of space. We decided to call the store “The Post Office” to honour the building and its history as a community meeting place and thought this would be a perfect fit to what we are trying to achieve.

I see a lot of our customers who we’ve gotten to know over the past three years since we opened Shannon Passero in the Old Firehall. I hope you’ll find the new store is as full of fun and fashion as we do.

I can’t say enough about my staff who had the monumental task of moving the store from the Firehall to The Post Office – In 1936, it took 2 days to move the post office into the new building – we made it in 5 days which I think is pretty good!

My biggest thanks goes out to my family – some of whom helped restore, build and decorate the store – but mostly to my husband Mike and 2 daughters Victoria and Libby.
